When handling and transporting plywood panels from Endesa-Botrosa, the following recommendations should be considered to maintain the product in optimum conditions.
When loading and unloading the panels, they should be lifted vertically, without sliding the exterior surface of the panel against other panels or the floor to avoid damages to it. It is recommended to clean and eliminate any debris from the surface of the panel before pilling or stacking them.
If the panels will be stored in a horizontal way, in order to avoid deformations or undulations to the panel, the following suggestions should be followed:
1.
Verify that the storage area is flat and leveled.
2.
Place at least three spacers symmetrically along the length of the panel in between stacks.
3.
Use a damaged panel at the bottom and top of each stack, in order to protect the other plywood panels.
4.
When pilling one stack on top of the other, the maximum altitude of each stack should be of about 3 feet high.
If a forklift is used to move the panels, care should be taken in order to avoid that the forks of the forklift scratch or destroy the surface of the panels.
During the transportation and storage of the panels extreme humidity or temperature changes should be avoided.
Additionally, the exterior surface and edges of the panel should never be in direct contact with water.
Store the plywood panels in a dry and well-ventilated area. It is recommended not to expose the plywood panels to direct sunlight, and sufficient space should be left between crates for a better circulation of air.
During the transportation of the product, the following guidelines should be considered.
The crates should be pilled correctly and tightly fastened.
Protect the edges of the crates so that they do not get damaged if they get bumped between each other during the transportation.
Protect the product from the rain or direct sunlight with a canvas.
To follow and apply these simple recommendations will guarantee customer satisfaction and quality preservation of the plywood panels.
